To celebrate the release of her acclaimed debut album ‘All Those Things I Thought I Knew’, singer-songwriter and producer emzae visits Liverpool for her debut headline gig with support from the wonderful Lazygirl.

A one-woman pop powerhouse, emzae’s live show balances an energy that is both intimate and laced with anecdotes, with songs that transcend the capacity of the venues she loves to call home.  Utilising live samples, looping, captivating vocals and plenty of sparkles to tell the epic story behind a project 6 years in the making and entirely written, produced, mixed and released by herself, this is not one to be missed.

“TO HAVE THIS ALBUM AT ALL IS A COMPLETE TRIUMPH, BUT FOR IT TO BE THIS EXCELLENT IS DAMN NEAR A MIRACLE” – NEW MUSIC WEEKLY“ALWAYS EXCITING TO KNOW WHAT’S COMING NEXT FROM EMZAE” — DEAN JACKSON, BBC INTRODUCING

Lazygirl is a dreamy alt-pop artist, crafting silky melodies within sample-led production and down-to-earth lyricism. Weaving narratives that touch on mental health, womanhood, and queer identity, Lazygirl’s music is both relatable and deeply personal.

From humble beginnings as a bedroom artist, Lazygirl began producing her own music as a teenager with the help of a support group for gender minority artists and producers including Clairo and Sophie Meiers (and a virus-ridden copy of Ableton). Her lo-fi beginnings have influenced each of her releases as she plays with drum samples, synths and chorus-coated guitar.

Now, with over 1 million Spotify streams, she has established herself as anything but lazy. Her soft and mesmerising vocals have earned her coverage on Fresh Finds, New Music Friday UK, BBC Radio 1, DMY and more. 2023 has also seen Lazygirl play at a number of impressive venues, from the Eurovision Village main stage and Liverpool Sound City to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

“Through saccharine melodies cooked up in a bedroom studio, Lazygirl draws you into her haze of sentimentality.” – Bido Lito! Magazine

“Lazygirl is dreamy, melodic, and wistful all at once.” – Tongue Tied Magazine

“Lazygirl’s music feels easy to listen to, like a comforting friend… while remaining filled with wonder and all the mysticism of memory and the magic of human emotion.” – Where Are The Girlbands?
